Main South Community Development Corporation

In 1986, the Main South Community Development Corporation (MSCDC) was established to help address neighborhood concerns. Anchored by Clark University, the historic research university, MSCDC has been working to improve the Main South neighborhood, only about a mile from downtown Worcester.

They’re Doing it By:

  • Maintaining a developing safe and affordable housing with the intention to expand rental and home ownership opportunities.

  • Building a new $2.75 million athletic field for Clark University that is shared with the Boys and Girls Club.

  • Providing students with nationally-recognized college preparatory education and free tuition for accepted neighborhood students.

  • Investing over $50 million within the Main South area.
