Oakland Business Improvement District

The Oakland Business Improvement District (OBID) has helped establish the Oakland neighborhood as a vibrant business district. OBID helps attract and retain the best businesses and promote the economic development of the neighborhood through clean and safe programs. 

They’re Doing it By:

 
  • Assisting members to increase retail diversity and strengthen the competitive edge of the commercial district.

  • Raising over $475,000 for the design of Pittsburgh’s first Pedestrian Wayfinding Signage System and $1.5 million for construction.

  • Launching a series of public and open space activation strategies to enhance the look and vibrancy of the neighborhood.
